WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING ECU ORDERS! DO NOT SEND US YOUR ECU! DO NOT SEND US ANY MONEY!

EPROM Modification Ordering Steps

[For orders outside the US or Canada, please contact us first for shipping options.]

(1) Decide which modifications you would like.
Check out the various stages and see which level you would like. Please note that RPM limits for redline and stutterbox launches can all be set to your liking when we program your chip. You can also delete modifications (like the security mods) if you want.

(2) Determine whether or not your ECU has an EPROM.
We have guides to help you figure this out. If your ECU has an EPROM, skip the next step.

(3) Acquire an EPROM ECU if you don't have one.
We suggest calling Andre at Foreign Auto Computer. He has a lot of EPROM ECUs and can do repairs or swaps as well. If you go this route, you can save yourself some time and money by having the new ECU shipped directly to us. Then send your order form and payment to us separately via postal mail or email/PayPal.

(4) Find a block of time when you can be without the use of your DSM.
Since you need to send us the ECU, and your car will not run without the ECU, there will be a block of time in which you will not be able to use your car. In order to keep this inconvenience to a minimum, here are some suggestions. We set aside Tuesday night to work on ECUs. So if you overnight ship your ECU to us on a Monday, we will get it Tuesday and work on it that night. Then we can overnight ship it on Wednesday which means you will get it on Thursday. Occasionally, we might not be able to do the ECUs Tuesday night, in which case we will do them Wednesday night. So it is important that you select overnight shipping and not two-day on return if you don't want to be waiting for your ECU over a weekend. Note that Candian orders cannot go this fast as Border Customs screws this up.

(5) Fill out the order form and arrange payment.
Please make your modification selections on our order form. Be sure to check your address and phone number entries for accuracy. At the bottom, there is a button called "Make Letter". Press it and the form will come back with a letter. Please print the letter, check it over and make any corrections, sign it, and send it in. Payment amount is calculated and included at the bottom of the letter. If you are sending in a money order, please make it out to "TechnoMotive". PayPal payments can be made to "tmo@tmo.com".

California customers will be charged 7.75% sales tax.

Some customers with AOL accounts have had some difficulty with the form not properly returning a letter. If this happens to you, print out the raw form and make selections with a pen. Sorry for the inconvenience.

(6) Send us your ECU.
If you have an EPROM ECU, it is now time to pack it and send it to us. Please find a sturdy box that is close to the size of the ECU. If you are unable to place foam padding around the metal mounting tabs of the ECU box, they will get bent during shipping. This isn't a big deal if you don't mind unbending them later. We will be shipping your ECU back in the same packaging you used to send it to us, so please be sure to use rugged boxes.

We hate foam peanuts! They get into the ECU connector! Plus, they make a mess when we try to reuse them. If you must use them, please place the ECU in a Ziploc bag.

We get a lot of ECUs, so to help avoid confusion, please write your name on or tape a business card to the bottom of your ECU.
